Peptidci

Peptitler (Grekçe: πεπτίδια; “ufak tefek sindirilebilirler”) tanılamamlanmış bir düzende, α-amino asitlerin birbirine bentlanmasıyla oluşan kısa polimerlerdir.[1] Bir amino asit lafıntısı ile öbürü arasındaki bağ bir “amit bağ” yahut peptit bağı olarak bilinir.[1]

Tetrapeptit (Oligopeptit)
Proteinler polipeptit molekülleridir (yahut çok skorda polipeptit zir birimi barındırır). Anayasa nüans peptitlerin kısa, polipeptitlerin/proteinlerin ise uzun olmasıdır.[1]

Protein sentezi sırasında her amino asit, gayrı amino asite geceli gündüzlü, kırılmayan bir polimer olan polipeptid zincirleriyle bentlanır. Polipeptid konstrüksiyonsına sulplan amino asitlerin her biri konstrüksiyonya peptid bentlarıyla bentlanır. Peptid bağının oluşumu sırasında amino asitlerden birinin amino grubu ile diğerinin karboksil grubu, aradan bir ab çıkması sonucu birleşirler.[1]

Ortalama bir polipeptit zinciri 450 amino asitten oluşur.[1] Aşina en uzun polipeptit, ortalama 27,000 amino asitten oluşan, kas dokusunda mevcut “titin”dir. Polipeptid zincirine sulplan amino asitlere lafıntı (residue) adı verilir.[1] Zincirin bir ucundaki lafıntı, bağ yapmamış, muaf amino grubu barındırır ve N ucu olarak adlandırılır. Aynı şekilde zincirin gayrı ucundaki muaf α-karboksil grubu olan lafıntıya C ucu adı verilir.
